Overlooking the emerald green waters of the Andaman Sea, this southernmost point on the island is the preferred location to view the legendary Phuket sunset. Laem Phrom Thep, or Phromthep Cape is a scenic two-kilometer drive south from Patong. Two small beaches flank the cape: Xiamen on the left and Nai Harn on the right. Parking is available a short walk from the viewing location (which can be quite packed with tourists and locals on some afternoons), and steep paths lead to less-crowded locations on the rocks.
